The iX-4224 is a high performance, high quality, 4U rackmount server engineered to keep information accessible around the clock. The iX-N4224 features a highly efficient (93% Gold Level) power supply, rack dense chassis with 24 hot swap drive bays and the best cooling on the market. Performance is handled by two Intel® Six-Core, Quad-Core or Quad-Core Xeon® CPU’s, and up to 192GB of DDR3 1333MHz memory. The iX-4224 offers flexible virtualization with a VMWare® Ready certified motherboard.

Remote Management

iXsystems remote server management (based on the IPMI standard) consists of hardware and software components that allow system administrators to securely manage, monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair servers from a remote location, any place, any time.

IPMI provides many benefits, including:

  • Save time and money by configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting servers remotely, conserving on-site resources and saving time.
  • Manage distributed servers from a remote console: a dedicated network card or shared onboard LAN port gives you full access to power management, remote media redirection, and remote KVM access.
